Spring Break Surf Camp 2015

Discover the excitement and adventure of the ocean as you learn to surf with San Diego Surf School. Offered as half day and full day week-long camps, surfers will learn to surf, gain knowledge of the fundamentals of surfing, ocean currents, and water safety. We guarantee safety and personalized instruction with small class sizes, and 3:1 surfer to instructor ratios. The results will be amazing, as you cheer on your surfer riding the waves of San Diego. (Ages 5 & up)

Session Dates: Choose a session between Mid March to the end of April . Session Times:
  • AM/Morning Session (9am-1200pm) and
  • PM/Afternoon Session (1pm-400pm)
  • All day option is available from 9am-400pm
Days: Mon-Friday Ratio: 3:1 Student to Instructor Ratio (best ratio in San Diego) Includes: All equipment provided, free photography, San Diego Surf School t-shirt or hat, snacks, pizza friday, and give-a-ways

Monday:

  • Safety Talks & Stretching
  • Water safety
  • The foundation of surfing and potential water Hazards.
  • Surfing; 20 minute rehydration; surfing

Tuesday:

  • Ocean knowledge
  • Safety Talks & Stretching
  • Currents, wave types and wind
  • Discussions of how to catch and read the waves
  • Surfing; 20 minute rehydration; surfing

Wednesday:

  • Free surfing and picture taking
  • Demos by the surf coaches
  • Surfing tricks and maneuvers
  • Surfing; 20 minute rehydration; surfing

Thursdays:

  • Practice, Practice, Practice…
  • More advanced surfing techniques.
  • Surfing; 20 minute rehydration; surfing

Friday:

  • Summary of the week
  • Surfing and students are able to catch waves independently
  • Surfing; 20 minute rehydration; surfing
  • Celebration Party
