Strategically located, the relaxed neighborhood of Pacific Beach is right in the middle of the long stretch of beautiful San Diego beaches. It’s a great base if you want to take in as much of San Diego in the shortest amount of time and a most nearly perfect starting point if you plan on seeing the beautiful West Coast.
In the north is La Jolla and the south is Mission Bay. In the east is Interstate 5—this highway can take you as far as Mexico or Canada, depending on which direction you are driving. And of course, on the west is the district’s namesake body of water—the Pacific Ocean.
That means endless opportunities for great surfing experiences. This is where you want to surf and the best place to learn how to hang ten. And our sunsets aren’t too shabby.
