Program Details

• Available Sessions:
  • Pacific Beach Location: Wednesday: 2-3:30 or 3:30-5 & Friday, 3:30-5
  • Ocean Beach Location: Closed (No after school program is offered at Ocean Beach Surf School)
  • Schedule: Offered from September through May
  • Ratio: 3:1 Student to Instructor ratio (3 students Minimum to run the program)
  • Equipment: Surfboards and Wetsuits are included 
  • Skill Levels: Our After School Program accommodates all skill levels, from beginners to advanced surfers.

For Beginners, students will focus on:

• Surfing basics
• Surf etiquette
• Wave selection
• Ocean safety and awareness
• Understanding wave creation

For More Experienced Surfers, the focus will be on:

• Refining turns and maneuvers
• Advanced wave strategies
• Surfing tricks and techniques
• The physics of waves
• Understanding the beach environment

Surf Contest

All ASP participants will automatically be entered into the San Diego Surf School Annual Surf Contest, which takes place in North Pacific Beach every October. This exciting event is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their skills and gain valuable competition experience. (Stay tuned for more details on the event date.)

Pricing & Scheduling

• 1-Day Session: $98 + tax
• 4-Pack (4 SESSIONS PER MONTH FOR THE PRICE OF 3): $294 plus tax (Click Here)
• Session Policy: Sessions must be used within the month of purchase; they do not roll over to the next month. A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations, and students must call to reschedule. Sessions are non-transferable and cannot be split among multiple participants.
